Prickings

Description

To make lace a pattern is required. This is known as a pricking and identifies the pin locations for a specific design.

Prickings are generally produced from a piece of card in which pin-holes have been inserted to identify where to put pins. They are often accompanied by an instruction set of how to work the stitches at each hole.
